1. Do I have to use oat milk?
Absolutely not! We love using oat milk as it adds a creamy texture and sweetness that tastes amazing with the brown sugar syrup, but you can substitute it with any milk of your choice.
Almond, soy, and coconut milk are all great alternatives, however, it’s important to remember that these different milks will affect the flavour and texture of your latte.
2. Can I make this oat latte recipe less sweet?
If you want to cut back on the sweetness of this iced brown sugar cinnamon oat latte, just reduce the amount of sugar in the syrup. Start off with 1 tablespoon and then you can adjust it to your own liking – you can also experiment with different sugar substitutes or honey for a different flavour.
3. Do I need an espresso machine to make this?
Nope! If you don’t have an espresso machine, no problem. As we’ve suggested, you can just use fresh strong-brewed coffee instead. Whether you’re using a French press, V60 or Moka pot, it really doesn’t matter! We just recommend using 60ml of brewed coffee for your latte but you can experiment and find out what tastes the best for you.
